Take It All To The Cross: Grieving
Take It All To The Cross
My Identity and Message from The World:
You are depressed by grief and sorrow and need medication.
Or, Satan’s message … “You don’t want to go anywhere or see anyone– just sit by yourself in isolation.” (so he can influence you)
The lie fed to you from Satan (the god and ruler of this world) [Eph. 2:1-2 (AMP), 2 Cor. 4:3-4 (AMP)].
My Identity and Message from Jesus:
I receive eternal comfort from God, who will wipe every tear from my eyes. He is my refuge. [Rev. 7:17 (AMP), Psalm 62:8 (AMP)]
The peace of Christ is the controlling factor of my heart. [Col. 3:15 (AMP)]
God makes all things new! [Rev. 21:5 (AMP)]
The Holy Spirit is my “comforter” who lives inside all believers. [John 14:26 (AMP), John 15:26 (AMP)]
The Holy Spirit prays on my behalf with groans too deep for words- when I cannot.
[Romans 8:26 (AMP)]
The truth about grief and sorrow and comfort through Jesus.
Choose God
God appointed a “season” for grieving, which means there is a beginning and ending. [Psalm 30:5 (AMP)]
Satan wants to keep you “paralyzed” by loss, so you repeat the grieving over and over.
God wants you to complete your grieving so you remember your loss but are not paralyzed by it.
Choose God …
Take it all to the cross of Jesus
Take thoughts captive to Christ
Help someone else
Fellowship with others
Trust in God to heal and restore you
Talk to God about what you’re feeling
Ask God for His help
Set new goals and renew your purpose
Prayer is our communication (our cell phone with God), and it carries great power, victory, and peace.
