Boo! Fear Not. 31 Days of Spiritual Armor.
Day 16 – Spiritual Forces of Wickedness: Behind the Decorations
Subtitle: What the world calls fun, dark forces call an invitation.
Those “fun” decorations aren’t neutral.
Devotional Message: The devil doesn’t mind when death and fear are “marketed” as fun—it normalizes his (Satan’s) kingdom.
Decorations like witches, ghosts, and skeletons may look like plastic, but spiritually they carry messages and symbolism of fear, death, and rebellion.
Scripture reminds us that idols and symbols point to real demonic powers.
As believers, we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, powers, and spiritual forces of darkness. Halloween is not a party—it’s spiritual warfare.
Call to Action: Follow GodDesignLLC and visit GodDesign.org for more.
Scripture: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. (Ephesians 6:12 AMP)
Reflection Question: Do I see Halloween as fun—or as a spiritual battlefield?
Challenge: Replace one Halloween decoration with a verse that proclaims Jesus as Lord.
Salvation Call: Heavenly Father, I come to you as a sinner in need of your grace. I repent of my sins and surrender my life to Jesus Christ. Jesus, I ask for you to be my Lord and Savior over every area of my life. Let Your will be done in my life Lord. Jesus, place in me Your Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to be my helper through all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
