Day 19 – The Power of the Blood
Subtitle: Why does the enemy make “blood” a joke during Halloween?
The world plays with what God made Holy.
Devotional Message: The world splashes blood across costumes, horror movies, and haunted houses — but the Bible says “the life of the flesh is in the blood.” (Leviticus 17:11)
Halloween makes blood a prop. It has roots in blood sacrifices—historically, animals. Occult practices today still involve blood rituals, because the enemy knows the power of blood. But Satan’s counterfeit pales compared to the blood of Jesus, which saves, heals, and delivers.
To God, blood is sacred. Life itself flows through it. That’s why sin demands a blood payment — and why Jesus shed His blood for us.
Jesus’ blood wasn’t spilled for entertainment; it was poured out for salvation. Every drop speaks forgiveness, covenant, and eternal life. So when culture treats blood lightly, we must remember: the blood of Jesus is everything.
Halloween’s fascination with gore and blood is a twisted mockery of the cross.
Which blood speaks louder in your life?

Scripture: “And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.” (Revelation 12:11 AMP)
Reflection Question: Do I treat blood lightly, or do I honor the blood of Jesus?
Challenge: Every time you see blood or gore this week — whether in decorations, movies, or costumes — stop and declare: “I honor the blood of Jesus Christ. His blood speaks life, not death.”
Salvation Call: Heavenly Father, I come to you as a sinner in need of your grace. I repent of my sins and surrender my life to Jesus Christ. Jesus, I ask for you to be my Lord and Savior over every area of my life. Let Your will be done in my life Lord. Jesus, place in me Your Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to be my helper through all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
