Day 10 – Witches and Wizards

Subtitle: Harmless fantasy or real danger?
Harry Potter may look fun, but witchcraft is no game.

Devotional Message: Halloween celebrates witches with costumes, decorations, and movies. Our culture glamorizes spells and sorcery.

Yet God’s Word condemns witchcraft—it is rebellion against Him.

Whether through games, entertainment, or rituals, witchcraft invites demonic influence.

The Bible says rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Satan doesn’t care if it’s “fiction” or “fun”—every seed of fascination plants roots of deception.

God calls us to holiness, not to flirt with the occult.

Scripture: “For rebellion is as [serious as] the sin of divination (fortune-telling), and disobedience is as [serious as] false religion and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you as king.” (1 Samuel 15:23 AMP)

Reflection Question: Where have I allowed “harmless fantasy” to normalize witchcraft?

Challenge: Remove one witchcraft-related movie, book, or symbol from your life.

Salvation Call: Heavenly Father, I come to you as a sinner in need of your grace.  I repent of my sins and surrender my life to Jesus Christ. Jesus, I ask for you to be my Lord and Savior over every area of my life. Let Your will be done in my life Lord. Jesus, place in me Your Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to be my helper through all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
