Boo! Fear Not. 31 Days of Spiritual Armor.
Day 12 – Black Cats and Bad Omens
Subtitle: Is superstition a trap?
Is that black cat crossing your path? It’s a lie.
Devotional Message: Halloween often features black cats, tied to ancient superstitions about witches’ companions and bad omens.
Superstition teaches us to fear signs and symbols—but Jesus calls us to walk by faith, not fear.
The enemy uses omens and “luck” to enslave people to fear of what might happen. In Christ, there are no unlucky days or cursed signs.
We are covered by the blood of Jesus, not bound by omens.

Scripture: … for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]— (2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP)
Reflection Question: Have I believed in “luck”, omens, or signs instead of trusting God?
Challenge: Write down one promise of God and declare it over your day.
Salvation Call: Heavenly Father, I come to you as a sinner in need of your grace. I repent of my sins and surrender my life to Jesus Christ. Jesus, I ask for you to be my Lord and Savior over every area of my life. Let Your will be done in my life Lord. Jesus, place in me Your Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to be my helper through all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
