Day 22 – The Cost of Dabbling
Subtitle: Do we know what sin is anymore?
“Just for fun” isn’t harmless—not if it’s “sin.”
Devotional Message: The enemy loves it when we treat sin as a joke or a holiday pastime.
Dabbling in darkness—even seemingly small things—gives him a foothold.
Scripture warns that sin, even “small,” leads to death and bondage.
God calls us to resist every form of compromise.
Call to Action: Follow @GodDesignLLC and visit GodDesign.org for more.
Scripture: Your boasting [over the supposed spirituality of your church] is not good [indeed, it is vulgar and inappropriate]. Do you not know that [just] a little leaven ferments the whole batch [of dough, just as a little sin corrupts a person or an entire church]? (1 Corinthians 5:6 AMP)
Reflection Question: Where have I minimized sin as harmless or cultural?
Challenge: Identify one area where you’ve “just joined in” and repent today.
***God’s Word gives us quite a lot of what “sin” is, and it’s way more than just the 10 commandments most people think about.***
Salvation Call: Heavenly Father, I come to you as a sinner in need of your grace. I repent of my sins and surrender my life to Jesus Christ. Jesus, I ask for you to be my Lord and Savior over every area of my life. Let Your will be done in my life Lord. Jesus, place in me Your Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to be my helper through all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
