Day 27 – Armor Up

Subtitle: How do we stand firm in the face of temptation?
Costumes won’t protect you—God’s armor will.

Devotional Message: The enemy attacks subtly—through culture, peer pressure, “just for fun” temptations, and many other well thought out strategies.

Scripture equips us with the armor of God: truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God.

Stand fully clothed in spiritual protection.

Scripture: Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11 AMP)

Reflection Question: Which piece of God’s armor do I neglect most and why?

Challenge: Memorize at least one verse of the armor of God and declare it over yourself this week.  ***Ephesians 6:10-19***

Salvation Call: Heavenly Father, I come to you as a sinner in need of your grace.  I repent of my sins and surrender my life to Jesus Christ. Jesus, I ask for you to be my Lord and Savior over every area of my life. Let Your will be done in my life Lord. Jesus, place in me Your Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to be my helper through all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
