Day 8 - "Mock the Watchmen."

Day 8: Mock the Watchmen
Silencing the Voices That See

If the enemy can’t stop the warning… he’ll try to shame the one who sounds it.

Throughout history, God has always raised up watchmen—people who see the danger ahead and sound the alarm.

But today, those who speak truth are often mocked or dismissed.
They’re labeled dramatic.
Extreme.
Out of touch.
Conspiracy theorists.
But this isn’t new—it’s a strategy.

Satan knows if he can silence the messenger, he can keep people asleep.

Ezekiel 33:6 (AMP):
But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, he is taken away because of his corruption and sin; but I will require his blood from the watchman’s hand.’

The goal?

Mock the message.

Cancel the messenger.

Numb the masses.

But silence isn’t kindness.
And truth isn’t hate.

Isaiah 62:6 (AMP):
On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed and stationed watchmen (prophets),
Who will never keep silent day or night;
You who profess the Lord, take no rest for yourselves

If God has given you discernment, it’s not to hide—it’s to help.
You weren’t called to fit in.
You were anointed to stand out.

If you see it, say it.

Truth in love still costs something.
But silence can cost even more.

Don’t be afraid of backlash—be afraid of missing your moment to be faithful.

Your courage could be the wake-up call someone else has been waiting for.

DEVOTIONAL:
Silencing the Voices That See.

SCRIPTURE:

Ezekiel 33:6 (AMP) — “If the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet…” (there are consequences)

Isaiah 62:6 (AMP) — “I have set watchmen on your walls… they will never keep silent…”

DEVOTIONAL REFLECTION:

Truth isn’t always popular.

Discernment won’t always make sense to the crowd.

But if God has opened your eyes, He’s also calling you to open your mouth.

You don’t have to shout to be heard by heaven.

Just be faithful.
Speak with love.

Stand with humility.

Sound the alarm with grace.

You’re not crazy.

You’re called.

If you downloaded this 10-day series PDF—go to Day 8 and say this short declaration and prayer with me.

DECLARATION:
I will not stay silent. I will speak truth in love and stand firm in what God shows me—no matter the cost.

PRAYER:
Lord, give me boldness in a world that fears truth. Fill me with discernment, courage, and compassion. Help me speak when others stay silent—and point people back to You.

CHALLENGE:

Pray for one opportunity to speak a truth God has placed on your heart—whether in a conversation, online, or in prayer.

Then obey that nudge. Trust Him with the results.
